Kevin de Bruyne in Manchester City talks
Manchester City have reportedly opened talks with Wolfsburg star Kevin De Bruyne over a £56million transfer move. If De Bruyne does come to City, the Belgian global could be returning to England just a year and a half after leaving Chelsea.
He stressed that the club are yet to receive any concrete offers for De Bruyne and will only react when one lands at their door.
Closer inspection on the 24-year-old would show that he may be worth a punt at £50m however, at least in comparison to Sterling.
There seems to be a pattern in City’s recruits this summer as they are making moves for extremely talented youngsters rather than readymade world class stars. The former Chelsea midfielder was arguably the most influential player in the Bundesliga last season.
It is this element that Manchester City, or any team for that matter, would benefit from having such a player in their side.
The 25-year-old has struggled to cement a place in Manuel Pellegrin’s starting eleven, particularly after the signing of Wilfried Bony, and is yet to feature on City’s summer tour.
De Bruyne endured a failed first spell in the Premier League, however that was more down to the lack of chances.
Per multiple published reports, Manchester City is poised to break the British transfer record to sign Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne.
