Kevin Durant Will Practice With Team USA
According to his agent, Durant is planning to practice on Tuesday and Wednesday with Team USA at minicamp in Las Vegas.
Just before the start of last season, Kevin Durant broke his foot.
Durant only appeared in 27 games last year while dealing with a foot injury.
And no matter who wears the trousers in this relationship, I think we can all agree that we’re excited to get a healthy heaping of Westbrook-Durant alley-oops once again. For a former National Basketball Association MVP with a wingspan comparable to a 747, stuffing the shot is no challenge – but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fun.
“You know last week I wasn’t playing you like this”, Williams responded. While the appearance may be a formality so Durant can play in the Olympics next summer, he said it was euphoric to be back on the court with the USAB team. A lot of people may be doubting me as well. Like, back – like, ready to play back. If I needed to be secretive about exercises, or be on my own, I might be silly to try this. I’m not going to play 5-on-5 just yet.
With many crowning the Spurs in the West and dismissing all other teams not named the Cavaliers in the East, Durant is lurking in that small market in Oklahoma City looking to return to elite status.
Thunder followers would completely choose Durant spend the remainder of the summer time resting that proper foot and avoiding any drills, nevertheless mild, till coaching camp begins in October.
“To bounce ideas off Chris Paul and LaMarcus Aldridge, Draymond Green and Steph Curry, it’s like heaven”, he said. That atmosphere, I couldn’t shy away from that so I just wanted to watch it and learn. “But I’m glad I went through that journey and it’s made me a stronger man”.
This upcoming season will be ever so important for the Oklahoma City Thunder as they look to rebound from missing the playoffs, despite Russell Westbrook erupting with numerous triple-doubles. He said all the right things about the Thunder (“I’m 100 percent committed”) and even had a smart answer ready when asked whether he would be OK if he replaced James this season, as the man most squarely in the NBA’s pressure cooker.
