Kevin Kisner takes a one-shot lead at RSM Basic
Davis Love III, the tournament host, had a 70 at Plantation that allowed him to make the cut on the number at two-under 140.

Jacobson carded a five-under 67 on the Plantation Course while Kisner, the overnight leader who is also bidding for a first victory on the PGA Tour, returned a three-under 67 on the Seaside layout. Kevin Kisner has a score in mind that he hopes will be enough to win the RSM Classic.
Chappell was at 11-under 131, one shot clear of Freddie Jacobson, who had a five-under 67 on the Plantation Course, and Kevin Kisner, who had a 67 at Seaside.
Jeff Overton, David Hearn and Tom Hoge each had a 6-under 64 on the Seaside Course.
There was nothing to choose between father and son as both birdied the first hole, but were unable to build on that encouraging start and had to settle for 70s. Ko shot a 67, rebounding from a double bogey and a bogey with birdies on the final two holes.
“In China I told my coach and my caddie it was the first time it was all golf and no nerves”, Kisner said. McDowell made a few key par saves, poured in five birdies and wound up with a 65 to get within four shots of the lead.

Marc Turnesa and Champions Tour players Joe Durant and Kevin Sutherland had 68s at Spyglass Hill, and Michael Schoolcraft, a 2014 Oklahoma graduate and a current mini-tour player, had a 68 at Spanish Bay.
“I literally just got into automatic pilot mode in the first fairway”, he said. Players will receive a point for each dollar earned in the event.
“With everything going on around our family and him getting in this tournament and all the attention, I thought he handled it really well and played a good round of golf”. His 3-wood missed left into a bunker, leaving a tough shot to a pin at the back on a shelf.
