KFC U.S. Introduces Fried Chicken-Scented Sunscreen
Yes, for reasons that remain questionable, the fried chicken giant made a decision to get into the skincare game, launching a website and free sun protection product that is imbued with the alluring scent of fried chicken. KFC has one for you.
Unfortunately though after just 10 hours, the product has supposedly been finished up by fried-chicken and sunscreen lovers so there’s none left for everyone else.
Now as far as business purposes for this promotion by the chain, it’s likely that some of the “lotion LTO” had to do with KFC’s June introduction of thatinfinitely bronzed actor, George Hamilton, as the “Extra Crispy Colonel”.
It reads, “The sun gives us life”.
Although the flagrant aroma of fried chicken may entice customers to take a good bite out of themselves (or others), just like every sunscreen on the market, KFC’s Extra Crispy Sunscreen is not edible. But if we’re not careful it also gives us painful sunburns.
