Khalistani terrorist Jaspal Atwal should not have been invited: Justin Trudeau

“I did discuss the issue with the (Indian) foreign minister and I will leave it to her to comment on her impressions of the conversation”.

Canada has a large Sikh community and Mr Trudeau’s cabinet includes four Sikh-Canadians. “We are in the process of looking into how this occurred”, the statement added. He was also associated with the International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF), which is charged with bombing the Montreal-Delhi Air India flight in 1985, which killed 329 people.

The Canada-based businessman was invited to an event in Delhi by the Canadian High Commission in India. “As soon as we found out we rescinded the invitation immediately”.

Trudeau particularly riled New Delhi a year ago when he attended a parade in Canada at which Sikh militants were feted as heroes.

“India is rightly proud of itself as being a successful, plural, diverse democracy. We are cross-checking with our mission in Canada”. We are proud saying that our diversity is our (strength).

“I’m left speechless. This speaks volumes about the kind of inroads Khalistanis have made into the Liberal Party of Canada and the echelons of power”, said Dosanjh.
