Kia to debut ‘Mystique’ model X-Car next month
After its official unveiling, the Kia X-Car will be on display at Melbourne Park in Australia from January 18 to 31. The South Korean carmaker is done with using Star Wars to promote their cars and have moved on to the next major hit film, X-Men Apocalypse.
Comic book fans will get their first look at the vehicle next month at the Australian Open where Kia is a sponsor.
To be more specific, the car’s design is based on one of the movie’s characters, the shape-shifting mutant known as Mystique. On the bright side of things, the X-Car is based on Mystique so perhaps, it might be able to shape-shift into something that is really hot. The special model produced by Kia Motors and 20 Century Fox is scheduled to be shown to the public in the presence of Kia Motors honorary ambassador Rafael Nadal. Modeled after the villain of the film, Mystique, the 2017 Sportage will feature custom bodywork and a unique textured matte and gloss blue paint job.
This is the second of Kia’s X-Cars, following the release of a Wolverine-inspired Sorento, which debuted at this year’s Australian Open back in January.
