Kidnapped Florida toddler found safe after landlord sees CNN report
Lilly Baumann, a three-year-old who disappeared with her mother after a custody dispute, has been found safe in Florida, after a tip was phoned into a CNN hotline following the Sunday night premiere of The Hunt with John Walsh.
The girl’s father, Robert Baumann, told CNN he’d been searching for his daughter ever since, and was anxious about what would happen if his daughter needed medical assistance.
Everett was last seen in Broward County on May 6, 2014, when Baumann dropped off their daughter, Lilly, in compliance with their shared custody agreement.
A woman accused of kidnapping her daughter in May 2014 is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
A mother in the US who reportedly refused to let her baby be vaccinated, has been caught after a year on the run with her child.
“You are a great dad”, Everett wrote, according to the paper.
While no Amber Alert was issued, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement did issue a Missing Endangered Persons report on the little girl, saying she “may be in the company of” Everett.
Baumann had planned to have his daughter receive vaccinations the next time he had custody and planned to enrol her in preschool, according to court records. The child was featured Sunday night on the TV show “The Hunt” hosted by John Walsh on CNN. I can not let a judge tell me how my daughter should be raised.
That led deputies to the home, where they spotted the mother and daughter inside. Agents from the Daytona Beach Federal Bureau of Investigation office called the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office and requested that deputies check the home while they traveled to Putnam County. “I know she will be safer and happier with my family and I. Love, Meg and Lilly”.
Baumann, who has since been reunited with his daughter, told the Sun Sentinel: ‘It’s so great, I’m so relieved. Authorities told her Monday that her daughter “still had an attitude” and was refusing to speak with them until she had hired a lawyer, she said. I thought it was so surreal, you know? “I don’t think she’s going to do anything to help the child”.
