Kim Jong Nam killing suspects to be charged with murder, minister says

For the past decade or more, outside digital devices and content have flowed into North Korea across the border from China, enabling people to watch forbidden content, typically South Korean and Chinese soap operas.

It also claimed that the United States was introducing “all kinds of chemical weapons” into South Korea.

It’s creating an unprecedented rift between the two neighbours and ideological soulmates. Korean pop concerts are being canceled in China, too. At the same time, Beijing views it as a threat to its own national security and has vowed to take “countermeasures”.

They are accused of being the two women shown on security camera footage smearing something on Kim Jong Nam’s face at an airport in Kuala Lumpur last month. The gruesome method of execution has also been used by the regime before – in May 2015, Kim had his Defense Minister Hyon Yong Chol killed with an anti-aircraft gun at a military school in Pyongyang, in front of an audience.
