Kim Kardashian opens up about eating her newborn daughter’s placenta

Kim Kardashian took to her app to give her fans a glimpse of her cooking session with Caitlyn Jenner.

Having a boy and a girl is wonderful, so perhaps now that Kim Kardashian’s doctors told her no more Kardashian babies, the couple and their new family will take heed and not try for another pregnancy down the line.

The reason behind Kim’s decision is that, having done it the first time around with daughter North in 2013, she believes that it helps to protect against postpartum depression.

She said she heard stories of mothers who never ate their placenta from their first pregnancy and suffered from postpartum depression.

As a mom of two 16 months apart (my youngest is 6 months), I thought about the whole placenta thing, but was turned off after I pushed it out… and saw it up close. “I have 70 pounds to lose and so far”.

Mad Men actress January Jones is another celebrity mum known for taking her own placenta pills.

“I started researching and read about so many mums who felt this same way and said the overall healing process was so much easier”.

It’s no wonder Kim Kardashian felt “fat as f-k” during the last days of her pregnancy.

In the end she chose to follow in sister Kourtney’s footsteps and go down the placenta-encapsulation route, also known as “Placentophagia”.

“This feels like a really hard recovery but we will get through it”, Kim Kardashian admitted of her weight loss journey. “You are looking vastly improved”, Caitlyn tells Kim, who reacts, “I am feeling vastly improved”. News, the same network that showcases their long-running reality TV show, and didn’t correct the reporter when she pronounced Saint in the English way – “Say-nt”. “I totally recommend it to anyone considering it!”

While remaining off camera during the live-stream, Kardashian West explained that she would “reveal” herself soon.

The 35-year-old mum has revealed on her website that she plans to ward off post-natal depression by swallowing her placenta, also known as placentophagy, like she did after the birth of North.
