Kim Kardashian visits White House
The White House has not commented on any meeting with the star.
West met with the then-president-elect at Trump Tower in NY in December 2016.
Alice Marie Johnson said she remains hopeful that Trump will pardon her. In October of 2017, the “Keeping Up With The Kardashian” star tweeted her thoughts about Johnson.
Kardashian was seeking a pardon for Alice Marie Johnson, who convicted of drug conspiracy in 1997. “Today is for you”, Kardashian West tweeted Wednesday.
While convincing Kushner’s father-in-law to support Johnson may not be so easy, Kardashian does have history on her side. Johnson is now serving a life sentence for a first-time non-violent drug offence.
In the end, she met with fellow TV personality, President Donald Trump – formerly of The Apprentice and NY tabloid fame. She had reportedly spoken to the adviser “several times” in the past about Johnson’s sentence. Listen, it’s a not great state of affairs when you need a massive celebrity to get the attention of the president and fix gross injustices, but if Kim K. can get it done, more power to her. “People need to feel that”. She was in the building for just under an hour.
While the Trump administration is staunchly opposed to sentencing reforms, it has supported more modest prison and reentry reforms.
Kardashian helped fund and assemble a legal team for Johnson, including her personal attorney, Holley.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, the 37-year-old is heading to the White House this Wednesday to discuss prison reform with Jared Kushner and President Donald Trump.
White House advisor Ivanka Trump has also been working on the issue. He recounted for CNN his experience covering Trump’s Tuesday night rally in Nashville, Tennessee, which included being repeatedly heckled by one Trump supporter as a “scumbag”.
Meanwhile businesswoman Kim has recently been slated by fans who claim she is ripping off her younger sister Kylie’s make-up range.
“I went into a complete panic and out of desperation, I made one of the worst decisions of my life to make some quick money”, she told Mic.
Kardashian West said in the interview she’d been in touch with Kushner over the case and that, if she had the chance to bring it up with Trump, she’d tell him, “I really do believe that she’s going to really thrive outside of prison, and I would just urge him to please pardon her”.
“She was dedicated to this case”, Jackson Sloan said. “So, there’s nothing I even want to hear in regards to [Trump]”.
Earlier, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had confirmed Kim Kardashian would be visiting. Her outfit was sophisticated and subdued for the formal meeting.
