Kim Richard’s Ex-Husband Monty Brinson Dies Aged 58

Kim Richards’ former husband and longtime friend Monty Brinson has died following a battle with lung cancer.

Kim and Monty were only married for three years in the late 80s, and share a daughter together, but they have remained very close, especially in recent years, when she has been by his side through the illness. The pair was married from 1985 to 1988 and are parents of a 29-year-old daughter, Brooke Brinson.

Brinson, an heir to a supermarket franchise, was a staunch supporter of the troubled Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, and defended Richards previous year after she was arrested twice and spent time in rehab. “That quote is in honor of @kimrichards11”, Brinson captioned a throwback picture with Richards on Instagram in August. “I wish for you happiness, courage, peace, laughter, love, strength and Every you’ve EVER DREAMED OF [sic]”, Richards wrote. ‘We have lost Monty Brinson after a courageous battle with cancer, ‘ Hilton wrote. His heart was as big as the moon and he was loved by all he met. He will be sorely missed. Kim posted a photo of her and Monty on her birthday with a heartfelt message, “Having you here Monty is the best gift of all”.

The duo enjoyed Brinson’s birthday together last fall, in which Richards captured the special moment on Instagram. I love You always!’

“I’d like to thank all the people who have crossed my path”, Monty shared in one of his final posts. You can’t help but love Monty. Do I know everything absolutely.

The day prior to collecting memories from loved ones, Brinson had seemed more optimistic, writing that he thought that he had a lot more time left.
