Kingdom Hearts 2.9, Whatever It Is, Could Be Coming to PlayStation
Judging by Nomura’s answers, it seems that Square Enix still has a lot of work to do in “Kingdom Hearts 3” since they are also working on “Final Fantasy XV” for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The leak was first spotted by KH13.
Whatever it is, it’s an apparent PlayStation exclusive title that game designer Richard W. VanDeventer worked on in Osaka, Japan at Square Enix for 10 months. The developer lists some interesting details.
He claims to have worked on game idea planning and documentation for the 2.9 version as well as the game’s check and balance. The person has been responsible for planning the game, boss battles and checking it has balanced gameplay. There may be no formal announcement on the release date of its next installment yet, but Nomura is committed to producing another great game experience for all supporters.
There are also several rumored Final Fantasy characters joining the game such as Noctis, Balthier, Fran, Zidane, Snow Villiers, Vincentt Valenyine and Warrior of Light just to name a few. PIXAR has such an illustrious resume, any of its films will make fans happy.
Nomura also revealed that the game’s foundations have already been established and the next step will be to introduce various elements, which include character models, mini-games and designing the Disney-themed worlds, as reported in GameRant. Other things noted in the profile suggest multiplayer will be added to the game and the Gummi ship mode returns too. However, this does not mean that it will have a dedicated team-hence the fate of “Kingdom Hearts 3” hinging largely on the release of “Final Fantasy 15”.
According to “Big Hero 6” producer Ray Conli, both the animated movie and “Kingdom Hearts 3” have similar themes and bringing them together would generate a more meaningful story. Maybe Square Enix will reveal something at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
