Klopp close to taking over as Liverpool manager
Rumors has it that departing manager was hurt by pain of rejection, but it has expected by many that Klopp is quite suitable for the job.
“You thought, ‘What is he going to do post-Dortmund?’, then clubs like Liverpool certainly came into the frame”. It is a marvellous club.
“We are not a supermarket”, he told the Guardian in 2013, “but they want our players because they know we cannot pay them the same money”.
“My biggest criticism of Brendan Rodgers’ team was he was telling us how much character the team had got, but if it was lacking one thing it was character”.
“He is the ideal candidate for the job”.
It has been understood that Jurgen Klopp has agreed a deal in principle to sign for Liverpool.
“It took me maybe six, 12 months to realise exactly what Liverpool was all about”.
“I think there are strong parallels between Dortmund and Liverpool with the passion and size of their support”, said Low.
Jurgen Klopp is favourite to succeed Brendan Rodgers at Anfield. I believe he will be Bayern manager in the summer of 2016.
“He [Klopp] is a very good manager”.
“No, no, I’m not interested in what players do when they leave Liverpool, I want him to bring the best out of players, and he did that at Dortmund and I’m pretty sure he will do it at Liverpool”.
“I like what I see”. Kahn said: “I can definitely see it happening and there’s absolutely no reservations at all in terms of his expertise”. I like Ancelotti’s and Jurgen Klopp’s manner. Rodgers previously took the team to a second place finish in 2014 after they could not hold on for the victory after being in first place with three games left.
Heskey – who spent four years as a Liverpool player between 2000 and 2004 – also outlined the task facing Klopp as he prepares to take charge.
Earlier on Tuesday, the former Dortmund manager smiled when asked by a reporter from German newspaper Bild about his talks with the Reds, stating: “There’s nothing to say”. When was the last time they went out and bought the finished article? Atmosphere in Anfield has similarities with Dortmund.
