Klopp makes Brazilian ace fall in love with Liverpool

Lucas Leiva says he is having one of his best spells in nine years at Liverpool since Jurgen Klopp brought a “new energy” to Anfield.

The 29-year-old had started all of the manager’s six opening games in the charge, wearing the captain’s armband in the absence of the injured Jordan Henderson, until a hamstring problem ruled him out of last Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace.

Milner is optimistic on his chances of recovering in time to face Manchester City on Saturday and has explained why there is still plenty he can take from Klopp’s methods.

“I believe Klopp’s arrival gave me new energy, a new wind”, Lucas explained. I wasn’t prepared. But I had the willpower, and the coaches that helped me evolve. “Changing managers is always different, and I’m still learning the ways [Jürgen Klopp] wants me to play”.

Origi told the club’s official website that it was nice to hear of Klopp’s interest in his services before his transfer to Anfield – which was actually completed in 2014 before he was sent back on loan to former club Lille – which the German actually confirmed around the time of his first match as Liverpool boss at Tottenham. I think it should be a good partnership for him and Liverpool. Liverpool could (and have!) done far worse when it comes to a manager and his tactics with his squad.

“Since he has arrived, we’ve had seven games in four weeks”.

The first three months of his Liverpool career haven’t gone to plan, but James Milner is determined to keep working and keep learning. However, he returned to action with the Under 21 side during the 4-0 defeat at Chelsea on the weekend before playing in front of Klopp during Friday behind closed-doors friendly with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool have received a double boost ahead of their Manchester City test as James Milner and Jordon Ibe both participated in full training on Monday.
