Klopp set to ring the changes for West Ham clash
A replay in east London next month was probably the last thing manager Jurgen Klopp wanted, having just completed a run of nine matches in 29 days in January. That’s not the case with West Ham, who have beaten Liverpool in three of their previous four meetings.
He made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Premier League win at Fulham nearly two years ago but was then loaned to Brighton for the whole of last season and it was only the current injury problems which propelled him back into first-team contention with a crop of the academy’s top talent.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he has not given any thought to Daniel Sturridge’s long-term future even though he does not know when the England forward might return to fitness. Which Premier League side will advance to the next round?
“Once at Dortmund there was exactly the same sort of incident with his glasses”, said Lewandowski as quoted by Liverpool Echo.
Reporters were keen to hear Klopp’s opinion on whether he was a player who had been disregarded and desperately trying to become a core part of the team, but the German did not agree with this opinion, saying that Allen “was always a first-team player.” .
The only Leicester player to score a hat-trick against Liverpool was Keith Weller at Filbert Street in August 1972 as his side came from 2 goals down to win 3-2.
There have been only three goalless draws in 91 league clashes between the teams, with two coming at Leicester in 1998 and 2004.
“They are all in our squad because they are an option for us”, he said. “His wife’s baby delivery is due tomorrow and we wish him luck and for that to go smooth but Randy would have been in goal anyway”, said manager Slaven Bilic. “I like his style, he’s very important for us, he shows what he is able to do and everybody knew it better than I did”.
The fans still love it because for a lot of them, it’s the only time there’s anything to play for in the season; the only games where there is some glory at stake.
“We have a big FA Cup game on Saturday and we have one of the most hard draws we could get, “he explained”. Klopp has gone on record to suggest that Sturridge needs a long period of uninterrupted training before he plays in the first team again, but the patience at Anfield is a clock that is ticking down. “But it’s only one part of the game, we should have used them and scored in one or the other situation”.
