TRAIL BLAZERS: Portland, with 12 3s Friday, has made at least 10 3-pointers in five of its last six games and in 10 games overall this season….
Lavine stepped up off the bench with 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc but other Timberwolves starters like Ricky Rubio (1 points on 0-of-4 field goals) and Andrew Wiggins (13 points) did not have a good scoring game for the Timberwolves, who has now lost back-to-back games and six of their last seven outings. It’s a pretty strong bet, as the Suns have allowed 43 fantasy points per game on average to opposing point guards this season.
The Timberwolves committed 25 turnovers, including nine in the third quarter, which helped the Suns get out in transition and take control of the game for good.

Leuer had 10 points in the third quarter as the Suns stretched their lead to 85-66 before some tense moments down the stretch.
Minnesota led for much of the first quarter until Knight’s 3-pointer with 1:25 to play gave the Suns a 23-21 lead.
TIMBERWOLVES: Kevin Garnett started Sunday and played against the Suns in a Minnesota uniform for the first time since March 20, 2007. The Kentucky product went a career-worst 0-of-12 from the field on Friday and finished with one point in 33 minutes.
The teams were tied at 89-89 when Al-Farouq Aminu made a 3 at the 6:00 mark, Allen Crabbe hit a 2, CJ McCollum sank a 3, Mason Plumlee rolled in a shot off his fingers and Damon Lillard knocked down a 3 with 3:12 left.
