Kobe Bryant booed at San Antonio Spurs game
San Antonio Spurs forward LaMarcus Aldridge (12) scores over Los Angeles Lakers center Roy Hibbert (17) and forward Larry Nance Jr. (7) during the first half. Kobe realistically should have held up minimum two or three MVP’s, but with the magician known as Steve Nash dominating in Phoenix, and Kobe being a one man show on mediocre teams 05′-07′ didn’t translate to any team based hardware. Leonard finished with nine points. The first meeting featured AEG and Time Warner Cable officials discussing branding opportunities.
Aldridge chose to sign a four-year $80 million deal with the Spurs over offers from the Lakers, Rockets, Suns and others.
Now, obviously Bryant doesn’t “deserve” to be there based on his play this year.
Didn’t players used to long to play for them?
There’s no real way to sugarcoat the fact that the Spurs are the far superior team in this matchup. “There aren’t too many people who understand how you bring it night after night for all those years at that level”, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said.
“If they come they come”, Popovich said.
The question becomes whether the Lakers decide to give Clarkson the max contract they can or if he gets a lesser contract from them.
“But more importantly he knows who you are, and he knows what team he would like to go to for whatever reasons, and so everything’s pretty much out there on the table”. His NBA All-Star game appearances helped him achieve the record for Most wins of the NBA All-Star Game MVP with four awards. He could not test his skill against an established point guard, as the Spurs rested point guard Tony Parker.
Clarkson said it was a “crazy day”.
“I’m always out there competing and want to play hard and play good against him”, Leonard said.
“Two or three weeks ago, I would have said five”, Scott said.
Those wanting to see the hometown hero Friday were disappointed, however.
Clarkson missed Friday’s game against San Antonio because of continued soreness in his right ankle.
“I have no idea”, Scott said. Still has some soreness in there.
The Spurs are clearly the second-best team in the Western Conference and yet already several games behind Golden State. “I may be a rookie coming into this league”. He has meant as much for the game as anyone.
The Spurs are 11-0 at home this season and have won 20 consecutive regular-season games at the AT&T Center.
Kobe Bryant announced earlier this year that this would be his last season in the National Basketball Association, and his road tour has gone quite well, receiving cheers and ovations from the road crowd on most occasions – but not this time, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
Plus, it’s going to be fun to see Kobe break a play and wrest the ball from Stephen Curry’s hands, should it come down to one final shot. The league is not going to create a special spot for him, so someone who is performing better than him will get snubbed.
