Kobe Bryant goodbye tour hits Minneapolis
The Los Angeles Lakers’ longest road trip of the season might be the start of Kobe Bryant’s farewell tour, but coach Byron Scott has used it as a chance to mold some of his youngest players. After starting the first 20 games of the season, Scott dropped both of the Lakers’ lottery picks out of the starting lineup against Toronto.
Towns has made an immediate impact on both ends of the floor, looking every bit the budding superstar he was billed as coming out of college, flashing his game-changing defensive potential on his way to blocking 2.2 shots per game and altering countless others. But you come to the realization that it’s time.
“Hopefully, I can say something to him tonight and just thank him for how he has carried himself throughout the league and has been one of the best players in this league”. “So you make the decision to go out my way, and not somebody else’s way'”. As a 90’s baby, I have never truly known an National Basketball Association without Kobe Bryant. Considering all Mr. Bryant has accomplished in his extensive career, he will not be remembered for his poor play in his final season. The Lakers are now less than that, and so is Bryant.
Russell, a 6-5 guard out of Ohio State, is averaging 10.9 points on 40 percent shooting, 4.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. While Jordan didn’t exactly retire at the right time, forcing basketball fans to endure a far-too-long stint with my Washington Wizards, Kobe has recently become the equivalent of an NBA geriatric, clanking away shots at a clip that would make most YMCA pickup ballers blush. Regardless, if he finishes the season or not, Kobe will go down as one of the greatest to ever play the game.
For most people, Kobe Bryant isn’t a person. More of the same for Kobe is expected Wednesday in Minneapolis, Friday night in San Antonio and the following night in Houston.
So tell us below if you would be up for a trade that involved Hibbert and Young.
Upon returning to the United States, Bryant played basketball at Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, just minutes from Villanova’s campus. “I know he was a favorite for a lot of these guys growing up”. While some saw Bryant’s brash, confident nature as egotistical, Bryant never apologized for who he was and just kept getting better. After stopping the game last season to honor Bryant’s passing of Michael Jordan on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, it should come as no surprise if the T-Wolves have a little something in store for Bryant as the city bids adieu to an all-time great.
“I coach for the Timberwolves now”, he said.
