Kobe Bryant: ‘My shooting not the problem for LA Lakers’

Kobe Bryant used to be the NBA’s main attraction. His selfish habits on and off the court are only hurting the young future Lakers core. He returned the following season, but was limited to just six games after hurting his knee. This is a far cry from his 31.1 shooting percentage average this season.

According to a report, maybe it is time to play the Black Mamba off the bench to give way to the fresh legs of the team. Less than 12 hours after returning to LA, the Lakers practiced hard, but the topic of the day still centered on Kobe Bryant and his abysmal shooting performance the night before: 1-14.

“I would never, never, never do that”, Scott said after practice at the Lakers’ facility. “So is his minutes”, it only makes things worse.

Walton, who is took the helm of the Warriors’ coaching in an interim-basis, has compared Curry to his old friend and Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant as both players seem to have the same “killer instinct” to win games. His reluctance to change things has resulted in another pathetic all-around Lakers squad. Currently, Bryant averages a 15.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG and 3.5 APG.

Scott and Bryant were teammates during Bryant’s rookie season. But you never know. But if they can win 70 (or 72 or 73!) and win a championship, they’ll be the first team since those 95-96 Bulls to challenge for the title of “Greatest Team of All Time”. Bryant was at his best with Phil Jackson, a coach who would have no problem telling the future Hall of Famer like it is.

Bryant’s minutes were not the issue in Oakland. Scott is trying to navigate an untenable situation to the best of his ability, but the Lakers have a long way to go before becoming relevant in the West.
