Kobe farewell tour kicks off in Philadelphia
The Los Angeles Lakers have had a rough start to their 2015 season despite their goals being set high.
One more defeat for the 76ers on Tuesday – 0-18 heading into the match – would have given them sole possession of the unwanted record for the worst start to a season in National Basketball Association history. At the center of it all, Kobe Bryant is having the worst season of his career storied career, and Zach Lowe of ESPN outlined that he does not think those two things are unrelated on his latest podcast.
Philadelphia 76ers finally got their first win of the season after beating Los Angeles Lakers the other day.
With his farewell tour underway, Bryant had the best game of his final season by far, finishing with 31 points in his first 30-plus point game since December of last season. His announcement came before his team’s 107-103 loss to the Indiana Pacers, and after the contest the all-time great said he intends to treasure every last moment of his final campaign.
Kobe Bryant said his goal all along was to win eight National Basketball Association championships.
“I’m pleased for the city”, Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said.
With the crowd standing and roaring in appreciation, the 37-year-old Bryant was lauded like a hometown hero, not the “Hometown Zero” he was once labeled in a Philadelphia newspaper. “We don’t want this streak continuing”.
“I put the people that I’ve actually learned the most from, being Jordan, Magic, (Larry) Bird, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Jerry West. Those are the players that personally I’ve learned the most from”. As a team they just have not been able to produce and reach the basket.
Wall scored 15 in the fourth quarter.
Orlando led by seven after one quarter and built their lead to 54-41 at the half thanks to Nicholson, who scored 12 first-half points off the bench.
But Anthony Davis had a hard shooting night, making just 4 of 15 from the floor. The team also got 12 points each from Julius Randle (with 10 rebounds) and D’Angelo Russell.
