Koke Injury: Updates on Atletico Madrid Star’s Hamstring and Return
Getafe goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has accepted that Atletico Madrid are in “another league” in terms of ability as they prepare to make the short trip across the Spanish capital for Tuesday’s La Liga clash.
Enrique defended the “rivalry” between Barcelona and Real Madrid, although he criticised the whistling his player has received while on worldwide duty with La Roja.
The teams last played in March this year and Atletico Madrid won the game 2 – 0.
Including their 2-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League last week, Atletico Madrid now have four wins from their last five fixtures, which has helped the side climb up to fifth in the La Liga table.
Meanwhile Eibar, were held to a 0-0 draw on the weekend as they travelled to Malaga, which proved to be their first dropped points of the season.
But Atletico, who spent approximately €130million during the close-season, have enjoyed a far more impressive start, with a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona the only blemish following victories over Las Palmas, Sevilla and Eibar.
Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos are new addition’s to Rafa Benitez’s injury list, joining both Danilo and James Rodriguez on the sidelines.
Just as they did last season, Eibar have made a splendid start to their campaign in Spain’s top flight and were unbeaten, on seven points, going into the visit of Simeone’s side.
The pressure is mounting on David Moyes at Real Sociedad, who are yet to win this season.
Failure to win away to Espanyol would pile the pressure on Nuno ahead of his side’ s game against Granada next Saturday, although he commented on Monday that he “assumed the responsibility, because it is part of the job”. La Blaugrana are yet to score more than goals in a game this season, with the visitors the ideal opponents to truly open up their season in style.
