If Konami is truly ending their support for AAA games, their plans for future Metal Gear games have been scrapped, as well as any Silent Hill games. This means that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain could very well be the last title from the Japanese publisher/developer. Additionally, Metal Gear has always dabbled in the concept of “the legend” being stronger than the actual person (especially in Snake Eater), so it makes flawless sense within the confines of the series.
What are your thoughts on Konami stepping away from triple-A console development?
“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” file corruption bug only happens on “Mission 29” and “Mission 42” when sniper Quiet was chosen as the players cohort. Let’s just hope that they decide to sell the IPs they don’t intend to use anymore, as it would be a sad day for gaming if those were shelved indefinitely.
Do that, and you’ll 100% the game and join the ranks of really committed Metal Gear fans who’ve done the same. Konami later tried to push back against some of that interview’s implications and assure fans that Konami’s console franchises were in good hands.
