Kylie Jenner slammed for “disrespectful” wheelchair photoshoot
Another, Sarah Willow, wrote of her upset that Jenner was using a wheelchair as “a f***ing prop”.
Reality TV celebrity, Kylie Jenner, faces scrutiny among social media users and disability rights advocates over wheelchair photos after a magazine photo shoot.
Kylie said: “You know who I’m obsessed with?” While some compare it to Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” music video, others find the shoot offensive to people with physical disabilities. “I saw her at the Alexander Wang fashion show after-party”, she recalls. “I’m way flashier on Instragram and Snapchat, because I feel like that’s what people want to see…” That took a toll, and now I have two really great best friends that are the only people I hang out with.
Kris Jenner has admitted she wished her youngest daughter Kylie had covered her bum in a sexy new shoot.
Chelsey Jay, director of Disability for Models of Diversity, said that her organisation was completely against the images of an able Kylie Jenner using a wheelchair. But it also is a blessing, and I’ve done so many things that most 35-year-old women still haven’t done. It’s a necessity for those who aren’t as fortunate as Kylie to simply live their lives and get from point A to B. Now ask yourself: would you be OK with taking photos in a wheelchair if you didn’t need one?
Meanwhile, Jenner has not responded to the backlash she has received from the shoot.
The photos depicted the 18-year-old celebrity in erotic but expressionless poses while donning a latex suit, intentionally looking like a sex doll.
“I would never wear makeup, because I honestly hate wearing makeup”.
“I’m just trying to not lose myself through this process, because I feel like I’ve already lost parts of me, like, my youth”, she said. People love fashion. But that’s so not me. “I’m still so young, so I’m just having fun”‘. I used to do a lot of hiking when I wasn’t as busy. I have done everything to prepare for college, so if I wanted to in the future, I could go at any time.
‘She’s always been like that and she doesn’t do it in a bad way or “I’m going to be the rebel”.
‘But I think that when they’re doing this, it’s just such a private photoshoot. “My worst fear is waking up and finding something bad about me on the Internet”.
