Kylie Minogue announces engagement to actor Joshua Sasse

The pop star’s actor boyfriend Joshua Sasse let the news slip while attending the 2016 NME Awards on Wednesday (17Feb16), calling the Australian beauty his fiancee as she flashed what looked like an engagement ring, and now sources have told multiple new outlets the couple is planning to wed.

The 49-year-old hit the red carpet for the NME Awards wearing a sheer floral appliqué mini-dress and proudly showed off her art-deco style diamond sparkler, which has an unusual rectangular style.

The 47-year-old Aussie singer met Sasse, 28, on the set of his show Galavant last September, when she appeared as a guest star. “Sasse is thought to have proposed during a two-week skiing trip to Geneva over the festive break”. And she’s been wearing an engagement ring since mid-January.

Kylie – who previously dated model Andres Velencoso, actor Olivier Martinez and singers Jason Donovan and the late Michael Hutchence – has previously insisted getting married has never been important to her.

And speaking to The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine last year, Kylie insisted that despite the 20-year age gap, she and Sasse are the flawless match.

In December, Kylie told Desert Island Discs host Kirsty Young she now realises there is more to life than fame and fortune.

“I can’t actually put into words how happy I am”, she said.

And, because I’m stone mad for rings, here’s the closest one I can get, which means being blinded a bit. “We just completely fit together”. So even though on paper it might not look right, it just is right.
