Kylie Minogue releasing Christmas album
Celebrity Crimbo albums are a seasonal staple, so it’s nearly surprising that the Aussie superstar hasn’t done one before now.
Kylie has now confirmed the album, titled Kylie Christmas, and has revealed the track listing, which features collaborations with her sibling as well as Pop and a posthumous appearance by late crooner Frank Sinatra.
“This year it’s a Kylie Christmas”. Mixing up festive classics such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Let It Snow, Santa Baby and more, Minogue will also duet with the legendary rocker Iggy Pop on Christmas Wrapping, a 1981 song by new-wave band the Waitresses.
The album also includes a seasonal smattering of brand new material.
The LP is set for a November 13 release, with a deluxe version coming packed with a DVD of videos for a few of the tracks – including “100 Degrees“, her duet with sister Dannii Minogue. Speaking about the concert she said: “To perform at the Royal Albert Hall will be a dream come true”, Kylie said.
Minogue announced on Friday that her first Christmas album, Kylie Christmas, will be out in November.
“I can’t wait for the 11th December to share a night of joy and celebration with everyone”.
