LA-area teenage brothers killed; uncle captured in China
“Detectives learned that after suspect, Deyun Shi’s plane arrived at the Hong Kong airport, he was taken into custody by Hong Kong authorities”, according to Deputy Grace Medrano of the sheriff’s Information Bureau.
HONG KONG Hong Kong police said on Sunday they had arrested a Chinese national sought by US authorities on suspicion of murdering two people and attempting to murder a third person in Los Angeles.
Two teenage brothers were found dead in their Arcadia home and the boys’ 44-year-old uncle, who was believed to have flown to China, was being sought Saturday as a suspect. After checking on her, the parents went to bed and they woke up the next morning to find their sons’ bodies.
Shi was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds, according to the sheriff’s department.
The sheriff’s department said Friday: ‘The suspect is considered armed and risky and is also wanted in connection to a spousal assault incident that occurred Thursday, January 21, 2016, in the La Cañada area’. Shi’s wife is the sister of the dead teens’ father.
The boys, who were Shi’s nephews, suffered from “blunt force trauma” and were discovered by local police on Friday afternoon, Rodriguez said.
Coroner’s officials did not release the victims’ names Saturday.
According to the Times, investigators believe Shi then drove to the home of his wife’s sister, where the two teenage boys lived with their parents.

Before the suspect’s apparent capture, Hernandez told the newspaper that prosecuting him would be “a long process”, as there is no extradition treaty between the USA and China.
