LA Father of 6 Killed in San Bernardino Massacre
On Nov. 28, the day after Black Friday, Thalasinos posted a photo of shoppers lining up outside a Best Buy electronics store with the caption: “Although it SHOULD be SHABBAT – at least Sunday people actually WORSHIP!”
Nicholas Thalasinos, 52, worked for the San Bernardino County Environmental Health Department.
The couple attended Church of the Woods in Lake Arrowhead.
Wetzel’s wife, Renee, “wanted everybody to know he was the most unbelievable person she ever met. He was her best friend”.
“He was very outspoken about ISIS and all of these radicalised Muslims”, she said. “Without him, this family will never be the same”.
An Eritrean immigrant who arrived in California 15 years ago to escape violence in his homeland. Jennifer Thalasinos posted pictures of a visit to the Reagan National Library with her husband on Facebook.
She said she never heard her husband say anything negative about Farook during the time they worked together. Nicholas Thalasinos was apparently born in NY, but his first wife tells Action News he grew up around Toms River and Lakewood, New Jersey. “A great husband and just a sweet soul”.
Aurora Godoy, 26: Married to her high school sweetheart and mother to a almost 2-year-old. Thalasinos, Wetzel and Meins were all employees of the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, which had held a work luncheon at the Inland Regional Center – the site of the shooting- on Wednesday.
Sierra Clayborn, 27: A 2010 University of California, Riverside, graduate who was always smiling and ready to help. She was confirmed dead by her sister, Tamishia Clayborn, who spoke to local NBC affiliate KNBC. She said a package seen by reporters on her son’s doorstep near the crime scene contained Christmas presents.
All of them had gathered Wednesday morning in the Inland Regional Center for a holiday luncheon. Reyes said that he initially was told that Kaufman had been shot but survived.
“The Coroner Division completed their on-scene investigation early this morning and then began the process of making notification to the families of each victim”, according to a press release from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office.
“Everyone in my family is devastated”, Kaufman’s uncle, Gregory Johnson, told NBC News. “Daniel was a good person that we all loved”. She told them she’d ducked under a table when the gunfire started and ended up getting hit in the back., the relatives told the Los Angeles Times.
