LA Rams ‘He Said, She Said’ with Eric Dickerson Reaches Fever Pitch
Well, considering Woodhead is now sitting injured reserve for the San Diego Chargers, this probably threw a lot for a loop in the media session.
The Rams moved to St. Louis after the 1994 season. He said as long as he’s the coach, I’m not welcome on the sideline.
All Rams alumni, and especially @EricDickerson, are always welcome at our games and practices.
And to anyone (especially members of the New England media who were on the conference call) who may be inclined to question the credibility of the team’s explanation, there was an opportunity to ask follow-up questions about “Danny” and “Brandon” during the conference call.
Dickerson was traded to the Atlanta Falcons for a sixth-round draft pick.
The three division-leading teams are a combined 23-9-1.
The Rams have had quite the underwhelming season.
The Rams should continue to hold off on signing the paperwork on that reported contract extension with Fisher.
Fisher obviously believes otherwise which is why he took such exception to Dickerson’s comments.
Asked if he was anxious that he would not have the opportunity to complete his plan to rebuild the franchise into a victor, Fisher did not hesitate. “You say things because you got caught”, Dickerson said in a phone conversation Monday with ESPN.
As we know, Kroenke has his hands full as the owner of many other franchises including Arsenal (EPL) as well as the Denver Nuggets (NBA), the Colorado Avalanche (NHL) and the Colorado Rapids (MLS). Each year, each roster’s different.
Left tackle Greg Robinson also is likely to start on Sunday after taking what Fisher described as a much-needed week off.
He said he was disappointed with the record, but added, “I don’t look over my shoulder”. As we get to the end of the year, we are all evaluating every aspect of the football operation and how to improve.
Fisher grimly noted that his defence has yielded nine touchdowns on its opponents’ last 15 drives.
“That’s not us”, he said, “and that’s not what we’re about”.
Dickerson reiterated that the conversation changed only after he stood up to Fisher and said he doesn’t have the right to tell him what he can or can’t say about the Rams.
According to Dickerson, Fisher said the following: “Players feel uncomfortable with you coming on the sidelines, some of the stuff you said about the team, about coaches and the players”. “That happens sometimes and that’s the truth”.
Dickers has not shied away from honest criticism of the current Rams’ coaching staff.
The ending of Monday’s college game between Bryant and Brown was incredible, and that’s not even counting that a Bryant player might have made the mistake of thinking his team was winning instead of losing on the final play. You know how many different quarterbacks we’ve played with.
