Lady Gaga Appears Unretouched in CR Fashion Book Photo Shoot, Talks Pressures
She wears a shirt, a super short skirt and a veil, while black eyeliner is dripping from her eyes. “And I knew I could do so much more outside of that cage than inside”. As we saw with the jazz music, she can be both the modern pop star and still play the classic songs, giving them a modern twist. “I always used to say to people, when they would say, ‘Oh, she’s the next Madonna.’ No, I’m the next Iron Maiden”. In her music and art, she is so creative, always pushing the envelope…And yet she is classically trained, as well. Well, wearing pigtails and running mascara is certainly anti-basically every bridal trend we’ve ever seen and, LBR, if anyone can pull that off while walking down the aisle, it’s Lady Gaga. The pop diva appears on the cover of CR Fashion Book, the style bible created by former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld. She adds, “It is the same idea about freedom”.
“And this is why I love the idea of embracing other females who are doing what I’m doing…The only time I ever criticized Lady Gaga was when I felt like she blatantly ripped off one of my songs.”
Coming up to her 30th birthday, Gaga says she’s not about having “a ideal body, a flawless face, and flawless hair”, this lady believes “legacy and longevity is about having some sort of story and footprint to leave in the world when you die”. Madonna is about to announce her Rebel Heart Tour, with many dates already sold out or near to selling out before the tour begins.
In other Gaga news, today, August 19, marks not only the seven-year (!!!) anniversary of the release of her debut album, The Fame, but also the two-year anniversary of the release of her memorable “Applause” video.
