Lady Gaga David Bowie Grammys Look- Star’s Son Not Impressed!
While the tweet doesn’t slam Lady Gaga directly, some fans are taking it as a sign that perhaps Jones thought the performance was a little over the top.
Lady Gaga’s tribute to the late David Bowie during the Grammy Awards on Monday night received mixed reviews from his fans, and someone who is much more than a fan seemed to be largely disappointed.
“Overexcited or irrational, typically as a result of infatuation or excessive enthusiasm; mentally confused”, he tweets.
Duncan posted on his Twitter account- referring to the dictionary term for the word “gaga”.
Following his father’s death on January 10, Jones went on a Twitter hiatus.
Gaga covered some of Bowie’s greatest hits during her medley performance, including “Changes”, “Let’s Dance”, “Heroes” and “Rebel Rebel”. At the beginning of the performance, graphics were projected onto Lady Gaga’s face in which several of David Bowie’s well known guises were projected onto her, including his trademark lightning stripe. Rodgers was on stage at the Grammys, playing those classic jangly riffs that he helped Bowie curate in the 80’s and 90’s, and he had no problem whatsoever with Gaga’s performance.
The 29-year-old pop superstar shocked crowds with an “impromptu” set with Brian Newman’s jazz band at the V Magazine Party which lasted 30 minutes. I worshipped him. I read the materials of his life.
“We had already booked Lady Gaga on this year’s show, but when David passed – nearly in a single moment – we knew we had to change direction”, GRAMMYS executive producer Ken Ehrlich said in a statement.
After being introduced by Ed Sheeran, the tribute began with a closeup of Gaga’s face, still sporting flame-orange hair and blue eyeshadow, as digital graphics gave her Bowie’s red face paint and depicted a spider crawling on her face.
