Lady Gaga Got Snapchat Just for Her Super Bowl 50 Performance
Super Bowl 50 hadn’t even started, and it already had a showstopper: Lady Gaga.
Occupying a persona somewhere between her Tony Bennett collaborator phase and her dark American Horror Story countess, Lady Gaga stopped by the Super Bowl today to grace the world with her pipes.
Lady Gaga found performing The Star-Spangled Banner anthem at the Superbowl “the highest honour”.
But let’s be clear: The gold standard is Whitney Houston’s 1991 performance during the Gulf War. Like always, this time too, Lady Gaga did not disappoint her fans in any manner.

The singer channeled her inner patriot in a glittering red pantsuit and eye shadow, striped platforms and blue nails for the occasion.

She posted on her account: “Love you so much, @ladygaga”. That said, the “ARTPOP” singer can hit and hold notes, and if nothing else, she knows how to milk a spotlight.
Oh, and here she is dancing along to Coldplay’s halftime show, which also saw the brilliant Beyoncé perform her latest surprise track Formation.
Gaga is expected to release a new studio album in 2016 and has been in the studio with producers including RedOne and Mark Ronson in the past twelve months as she works on tracks for the record.
The look was created by top celebrity make-up artist Sarah Nicole Tanno, who is one of Gaga’s go-tos for gorgeous, red carpet make-up.
Gaga was accompanied to the game by her mom, Cynthia, who added, “I’m very proud, but she was proud and honored to sing for her country”.
