That’s not unlike the supposed significance behind Lady Gaga’s 2008 music video for “Paparazzi”, which was also considered controversial because of Gaga’s use of crutches and a wheelchair in the vid. “People with disabilities are already seen as powerless, and this just reinforces that”, she added.

“We were all young and I always felt like people weren’t friends with me for the right reasons”, she added.

On missing out on a normal childhood, the beauty continued: “I feel like I’m going to look back and be like, ‘damn, I wish I could’ve just been a kid and done normal teenage stuff that my friends get to do'”.

The backlash was immediate, questioning why Jenner had reduced the issues of the disabled to a fashion statement.
