Lady Gaga stars in Tom Ford’s new runway music video
With a slew of models, Gaga helps to show off the latest Tom Ford collection by sashaying her stuff down the runway in a variety of little black dresses.
What better way to achieve a cinematic concept than get the queen of cinematic music videos and performances, Lady Gaga.
The video features Gaga, along with models dressed in Ford’s collection, dancing to the pop star’s cover of “I Want Your Love” by Nile Rodgers. The acclaimed fashion designer chose to mix cinema and high fashion, presenting a video runway of his Spring 2016 collection. Lady Gaga will also hit the catwalk and will serve strong “walk, walk, fashion baby” realness as she struts in provocative Tom Ford pieces and sports a super platinum blonde hair.
“Instead of having a traditional show this season, I made a decision to try something new”, Ford tells WWD. Right now he’s working on his second film, “Nocturnal Animals”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Amy Adams.
Other notable guests in the video include Lucky Blue Smith, who starred in Tom Ford’s fall ’15 menswear campaign.
In the midst of fashion week it’s normal to feel the fatigue, but Tom Ford’s disco dance party is totally bringing us back to life this morning. And the designer was noticeably absent from schedules again for spring, leading to speculation on how and when he’d choose to present his new newest collection. At the end of the video a message reads: ‘1 in 5 college women will be sexually assaulted this year unless something changes’.
