Lady Gaga stars in Tom Ford’s spring collection video
Lady Gaga covered Chic’s 1978 classic “I Want Your Love” as a soundtrack for fashion designer Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2016 Collection promotional video. Photographer Nick Knight directed it, and Gaga adds her distinctive vocals to the Nile Rodgers’ remake of his hit “I Want Your Love“. With Gaga’s cover in the background, the video features a soul train of dancing models debuting the spring collection.
Today the designer has released a video, eschewing a traditional catwalk presentation in favor of an entirely different format and his enlisted a famous friend too with Lady Gaga taking the starring role.
The show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy recently said of Gaga’s character: “She owns the hotel and she is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people”. The movie will be shooting that until the end of November, and it stars Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Armie Hammer, Isla Fisher and Kim Basinger. Exactly what you’d expect from Tom Ford.
Tom Ford has finally revealed why he was noticeably missing from every runway show this season.
In the midst of fashion week it’s normal to feel the fatigue, but Tom Ford’s disco dance party is totally bringing us back to life this morning.
Despite wearing a tin foil-esque jacket in one part of the video, it seems simplicity is key for her at the moment, as a lot of the outfits we see her in are rather toned down.
