The Rugby World Cup, hosted in England in the autumn – was third.
During Odom’s stay in Nevada, brother workers said they saw him drinking alcohol and taking supplements sold as “herbal Viagra”. And while the highlights are marked by tragedy, Google has opted to search for the good. In 2015, people’s search interests on Google were far-reaching, spreading from sports stars like Lamar Odom and Ronda Rousey to this year’s blockbuster film, “Jurassic Park”, and last year’s Oscar victor, “American Sniper”. Lamar Odom – who used to play professional basketball and is married to Khloe Kardashian – was first in Google’s global top trending searches for 2015, sitting atop a odd list that included a fairly small online and mobile game, a Fast and the Furious movie, and only two actual news events.
Facebook said the USA presidential election was the most discussed topic, while Twitter said #ParisAttacks was the most trending hashtag of the year so far.
The biggest Trending Music Acts were Adele, Madonna, Rita Ora, Lil’ Chris and Sia, while the only musicians in the top five Trending Female Celebrities were Cilla Black, who understandably occupied the number one spot after she passed away in August this year, and Adele, who was fourth.
