Lamar Odom ‘Isn’t Out of the Woods Yet’

Lamar Odom has apparently had a very unlikely and miraculous recovery over the past several days, and although he remains on dialysis because of kidney failure, doctors say he is “neurologically intact”, which is very good news. According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the former Los Angeles Lakers star is doing “way, way better” on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Lamar reportedly opened his eyes on Friday (16.10.15) and briefly communicated with estranged wife Khloé Kardashian.

Odom was admitted to hospital on Tuesday last week after being found unconscious at the Love Ranch South brothel in Pahrump, Nevada.

The 35-year-old former basketball star is said to have regained consciousness on Friday after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel earlier this week and TMZ reports that he is now “breathing completely on his own”. Lamar Odom’s condition is improving.

Khloe has been with her ex-husband’s 24/7 never leaving his side while visitors stay in the waiting room and come in one by one to his room.

Though he’s responsive, “he’s not out of the woods yet”, a source close to the Kardashian family tells WHO.

Prior to Odom’s health crisis, he and Destiny Odom’s mother, Liza Morales, were due in court, where they were expected to continue their custody battle over Destiny Odom, 17, and her 13-year-old brother, Lamar Jr. The site also reported Odom was recently helped out of his hospital bed and into a chair. “I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy!” she shared on Instagram on Saturday, October 17.

Odom married Kardashian in 2009 after a monthlong courtship. I know you got this… “Thank you all for your prayers”, Kardashian posted on Instagram. “Lammy-So happy Kendall & I could make u smile 2day!”

With this hard situation, friends and relatives have been visiting Lamar Odom in the hospital although Khloe chose to limit visitations to avoid anyone who take advantage of the incident and seek media publicity – and of course to avoid the press.
