Lana Del Rey answers calls from phone number on Honeymoon cover

Fans were recently given a tip by Del Rey herself that the number isn’t just for show. Of course it was.

Fans were alerted to the idea she may be answering calls after the singer posted a picture to her Instagram account with the caption “Call me”.

At least one fan got through.

Del Rey has also been surprising callers by occasionally picking up the phone.

The direct-to-fans performance is Del Rey’s latest promotion for her third major record label album, Honeymoon.

As if we hadn’t drooled over the Honeymoon album art enough, here’s another excuse to: The partially obscured phone number on the bottom left corner of the cover, 1-800-268-7886, is completely legit.

It’s the rare moment where Del Rey really comes alive and breaks through the veneer of her own making.

For the record the number to call is 1800 26877887. The album’s best track, “High By the Beach”, is the most interesting song sonically, employing more beats and rolling drum fills, and shows the most attitude, lyrically: “You could be a better motherf***er but that don’t make you a man”.
