Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible Begins Testing
Even with the top down, the upcoming Range Rover Evoque convertible appears to be as capable of an off-roader as we have come to expect from Land Rover.
The Range Rover Evoque Convertible will make its world debut at the Los Angeles motor show in November and will be launched in Europe in the second quarter of 2016. The convertible Evoque’s modern automotive technology includes Hill Descent Control for greater stability and security and a Terrain Response System that will adjust for traction and handling on conditions ranging from gravel to ice.
“The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is perfectly suited to the urban surroundings of a city like London and it’s the flawless place to showcase the world’s first luxury compact SUV convertible”, Land Rover design chief Gerry McGovern said.
The run-up to its unveiling is likely to see a host of promotional activities for the Evoque Convertible.
The sculptures are the work of Land Rover’s own design team, using computer modelling to create a faithful representation of the topless Evoque.
The film demonstrates how Land Rover’s engineers have rigorously tested the four-wheel drive Convertible to ensure it delivers the all-terrain capability the brand is renowned for.
