Landry Jones replaces struggling Michael Vick at QB for Steelers

My Prediction: I have to go with the Cardinals on this one.

This was another great win for a Roethlisberger-less Steelers team, and another win no one saw coming. The Steelers’ biggest liability during the early part of the season is now looking like an asset. Yes.

Meanwhile, the Steelers struggled with 60 yards total offense in the first half, but continued pounding the ball and it in the second half Le’Veon Bell essentially carried the offense opening up the passing offense.

The Steelers then put the game away. The Steelers traded for Mike Vick in late August after backup quarterback Bruce Gradkowski was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury because they didn’t have confidence that Jones could be the backup.

He punctuated his performance by connecting with Martavis Bryant for an 88-yard touchdown reception. He was a star in college at Oklahoma, where he didn’t miss a game in four years. This includes Antonio Brown, who many considered the most consistent wide receiver in the National Football League.

According to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ official injury report, Roethlisberger, along with Ryan Shazier and Will Allen, are officially out Sunday vs. the Arizona Cardinals.

Plus, Roethlisberger’s return-whenever it happens-would nearly certainly benefit Brown more so than Bryant, given the strong rapport between Brown and Big Ben.

The feeling around the Cardinals certainly worsened considering how they lost. This is going to really test their defense in a way that no quarterback has really been able to. Quarterback Carson Palmer said it was business as usual.

The Cardinals entered the game averaging 38 points per game.

When asked if this is a revenge game in his mind, he says “it’s just another game”.

The Cardinals had a touchdown erased on an offensive-pass-interference penalty, had a 2nd-and-3 at the Pittsburgh 25 turn into a punt and allowed the Steelers to hang around far too long.

“He was like Ben’s little brother out there”, Bell said. In receiving, Marcus Wheaton caught a 72 yard TD pass from Vick while Heath Miller added 46 yards in three catches. The Steelers will look to run the ball down the throats on this Cards defense. Arizona surpassed 40 points in a game for the third time this year, and gained a season-high 187 yards rushing against Detroit.

Mike Vick makes his third start in place of Ben Roethlisberger on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals and could be in line for a fourth next week.

Cardinals had 3, Steelers had 0. The Cardinals are also very stacked offensively and will make this a very interesting and entertaining game.

“I played the way I’m capable of playing”. The next play, though, was the best play of the game to this point, as Mike Mitchell intercepted Palmer in the end zone, giving the Steelers the ball with just over two minutes left, up by five.

It’s understandable to be frustrated about Brown at the moment. It was just one of those games that just took us a series or two to get going.
