LAPD: Amber Alert issued for girl taken by armed father
An Amber Alert was issued in Southern California after a 2-year-old girl was taken by her non-custodial father, who may be armed. He is described as Middle Eastern, with brown hair, green eyes, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 165 pounds.
The Los Angeles Police Department plans to release further details during a news conference on Wednesday night about the case.
The Amber Alert says 2-year-old Lanees Issa was last seen taken at about 2 p.m. Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Police say both the mother and father had to have supervised visits with the girl because of drug abuse.
The victim has brown hair, brown eyes, stands at approximately 2 feet tall and weighs approximately 35 pounds.
Police told CBS2 that Issa pointed a gun at a DCFS worker in Chatsworth before taking the child.
Louai Issa was last seen driving a silver Honda CRV whose California license plate partly includes “W122”. She was last seen wearing an orange and pink shirt, pink trousers and pink sandals.
