Lara Croft Leads The August PlayStation Plus Line-Up
Primarily, this selection will comprise Sound Shapes and Curve Digital’s excellent platformer Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones – both of which are available on the Vita – while both God of War Ascension and CastleStorm Complete Edition will be available only on PS3.
As the marquee game for this month, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris might not excite as much as cars and balls, but it’s still a very solid release.
It is worth noting that the 2TB PlayStation 4 on sale from GameStop is a used model that the retailer modified on its own; so it is not a given that it will still work perfectly after a few months of usage.
Also up for grabs is the critically-acclaimed Limbo. Next month, PS Plus members will see six new games become available for free – four of which will be on PS4.
A game I have always personally kept an eye but never felt quite right about paying money for, the second Stealth Inc is the first indie of note from August’s free Playstation Plus games.
If you’ve not heard of Limbo, it’s a black and white eerie puzzle-platformer where you play as a young boy travelling across a treacherous world. This means that the games are available for all of the three major PlayStation Platforms which are the PlayStation 3, The PlayStation 4 and The PlayStation Vita. A Game of Clones. Vita owners can access CastleStorm and Sound Shapes. If you’re looking for something really different, “Sound Shapes” is a puzzle game in which music and gameplay fuse into a attractive brain-testing package. While this game is the latest in the series, it is most certainly the worst of them all.
