Lara Pulver Joins the Fight in Underworld 5

In additiont to the casting news that landed two weeks ago (which you can find below), we now learn that Sherlock’s Lara Pulver is joining Underworld 5.

Den of Geek reported that the sequel is obviously not a reboot but, it tries to invite more fans to the franchise. What we do know is that Kate Beckinsale will return as super sexy monster-slayer Selene, and today brings the latest bit of casting news.

However, this will be the first time she will be appearing in a major Hollywood project. Bradley James, star of the CW show, iZombie, will also star as an unspecified character. Theo James (Divergent) and Tobias Menzies (Game of Thrones) will also be featured in the upcoming movie.

Directing the movie is Anna Foerster, who did 2nd unit work as well as acting a director of photography as Roland Emmerich’s right hand woman on movies such as The Day After Tomorrow and White House Down. It was followed by Underworld: Evolution in 2006, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans in 2009 and Underworld: Awakening in 2012.

Prague will play host to Underworld 5 later this year when Lakeshore Entertainment kick-starts production on the horror sequel. The first four movies earned a total of $450 million worldwide.

After three long years, another Underworld film will be released and Lara Pulver will be starring in it, according to Deadline.
