Las Vegas stadium backers down to two top sites to attract Raiders
The Forbes report revealed the team filed for “Las Vegas Raiders” trademark protection in classes including education and entertainment services, clothing, mobile applications, football helmets, and trading cards, among others.
The Oakland Raiders have applied to secure the trademark for the “Las Vegas Raiders”, according to a report.
A search of the office’s website reveals three trademark applications filed for use of the name “Las Vegas Raiders” by The Oakland Raiders Limited Partnership.
The team’s interest in heading to Sin City has been well documented since the franchise was shut down on a move to Los Angeles.
The renderings were presented by the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee. Raiders owner Mark Davis has traveled to Las Vegas multiple times in recent months to talk about relocating the Raiders, who will play at least one more season in the antiquated O.co Coliseum.
It’s possible that the Raiders, UNLV and a potential MLS expansion team could all call this new stadium home at some point.
