LastPass Introduces Subscription-Free Mobile App Update
If you’ve been meaning to try the password manager LastPass, now is the flawless opportunity, because the service is currently free to start. The service can be upgraded to LastPass Premium ($12 a year), which includes unlimited syncing across any devices you may have.
For users who begin using LastPas on mobile but want to extend their password protection onto desktops, they can activate a free 14-day trial.
Last month, keyword protection service LastPass had to issue an announcement to users about “suspicious activity” that occurred on its networks.
“LastPass will continue to evolve as technology shapes the world around us”, the company wrote. The LastPass team is confident that nothing came of the breach.
LastPass users will be able to take full advantage of the app’s password storage, but only on the type of device they sign up with. Now, if you get started with LastPass on your Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone, you’ll have completely free access from your smartphone, and can even sync across smartphones for free.
You can now use for free on either platform – but still need to pay to get both mobile and desktop usage. All of your data will be synchronized across as many desktops as you can use: so you can install LastPass on your home PC, work computer, and laptop and use the service without paying a penny.
For mobile-only users, this new offer is great, but most people use a mix of devices, and typically a PC is thrown into the mix. Sync data between similar devices, like two smartphones or two tablets.
