For the final season of ‘Downton Abbey, ‘ the period drama will not necessarily draw attention to the possibilities for the characters nor will it provide flash-forwards.
The 29-year-old actress – who plays Lady Edith Crawley in the ITV period drama – has revealed that while she’s devastated the show is coming to an end, she’s happy with the way creator Julian Fellowes has tied up the storylines.
Entertainment Editor Richard also said that he had heard that the new series of Downton Abbey was set to see “three weddings and a funeral”.

“Our feeling is that it’s good to quit while you’re ahead”, Gareth said during a conference call earlier this year.
“There’s no where he can go to meet people going through the same thing”.

Speaking about the “muscle” behind the final series, Elizabeth McGovern, who plays Hugh Bonneville’s on-screen wife Cora Crawley, Countess of Grantham, said: “The chipping away at the lifestyle is continuing to happen”.
“But naturally, I’m not going to answer any of your questions!” “We’re into the late 1920s”.

However, after the presenter made it crystal clear he knew she was well aware of what’s in store for her character, Michelle burst into giggles.
