Laurie Hernandez crowned victor of ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Warning: Dancing with the Stars season finale spoilers ahead.
Laurie Hernandez and Valentin Chmerkovskiy took first place while James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess came in 2nd place. But Laurie and Val’s foxtrot-and-Argentine-tango combo must have won some hearts, because she came home with the big prize of the night. Along with Laurie and Val, the finalists were race vehicle driver James Hinchcliffe and his partner Sharna Burgess, and former National Football League wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr. and his partner Lindsay Arnold. On Monday night’s first half of the finale, the show saw a substantial increase in ratings as it raked in 11.98 million viewers for the finale’s first half. Hernandez earned rave reviews throughout the competition, enough that she will actually be joining the “Dancing with the Stars” tour that will be staged in a few months. The camera moved to the next couple Jana Kramer and Gleb Savchenko at dancing with the stars finals. Plus, where is she going to put her mirror ball trophy? He’s also someone who performed last at the end of the show, and got a rather tremendous ovation for his freestyle routine.
James and Sharna redid their Hollywood quickstep from Cirque du Soleil Night. We can recall that they received their first ideal score during the Cirque du Soleil Night in Week 4 on consistently persisted as strong contenders.
James Hinchcliffe showed more improvement than anyone in this season, only behind Hernandez by a point or two. Laurie & Val have been standouts since the beginning of the season, so they deserve it! Carrie Ann praised Calvin’s “X-factor” and thinks he makes the world a better place. Referring to the playground setting, Julianne Hough chimed in, “Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of AWESOME!”
Eventually, with just the two dancers left, it was announced that Laurie Hernandez and Val Chmerkovskiy were this season’s Mirrorball winners, which wasn’t too surprising since Hernandez had been the frontrunner nearly the entire season.
