LaVar Ball: Lonzo Ball’s shooting percentage will be fine

Lakers’ guard Lonzo Ball played his best Summer League game last night, and he did it while sporting a purple pair of Nike Kobe A.D.s.

“While some have questioned whether Rondo is the best fit for such a role, numerous young players on Rondo’s previous team, the Chicago Bulls, praised his leadership”.

This was the first game of the summer that Lonzo sported anything besides his signature Big Baller Brand Zo2 sneaker and the results didn’t lie. Lakers rookie guards Josh Hart (right ankle sprain) and P.J. Dozier (left ankle sprain) will also miss the Summer League final after both appeared in only two games.

Ball’s emergence in summer league has excited the Lakers’ coaching staff and those watching from courtside seats, including Lakers head coach Luke Walton and assistant Jesse Mermuys. According to reports, Lonzo Ball is now the only player in the history of the NBA Summer League to score at least 30 points with at least 10 assists in a single game. He has been on another level with Lonzo Ball during Summer League and the hope is that the chemistry put on display continues.

Ball looked fine Wednesday while playing against a Philadelphia team playing without Markelle Fultz, the player drafted before Ball who is sitting out with an ankle injury.

If Lopez can up his rebounding to 10 per game he can be the spark to get the Lakers running “Showtime” again.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now contemplating to rebuild their once-great storied franchise, to lay a foundation that the organization can build a victor on.

On one play in the first half, Ball chased down a loose ball toward half court, and just before a Dallas defender could get there, Ball punched the ball forward to teammate Alex Caruso for a dunk. Johnson stood up and applauded. Without Kuzma, the Lakers would be nowhere the final four in the summer league. “You can see what he is all about, and he’s a victor, that’s what he is”. In the other corner, the Lakers are putting up 98.4 points a night and have only become more aggressive since tournament play began. “He’s going to shoot the same way, comfortable, like I said, who cares about his shot”.

LaVar Ball already sees his son making the playoffs in his rookie year.

“I didn’t know he was there until after the game. So everybody was hitting tonight”.
