Lavezzi takes 400k weekly wages in China
The attacker joins the likes of Gervinho, Stephane M’Bia and Gael Kakuta at Hebei while Ramires, Alex Teixeira and Jackson Martinez all moved to the big-spending Chinese Super League earlier this year.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi has become the latest high-profile player to head to China after joining local club Hebei China Fortune.
The argentine worldwide joined PSG from Napoli in 2012 and has scored 22 goals in 107 appearances for the French side.
The fee involved for the player is understood to be €30million, and the striker, who was linked with a host of Premier League clubs over the last number of years, has signed a two-year deal. The 30-year-old won three successive Ligue 1 titles with the capital club, as well as the 2014/15 French Cup.
Lavezzi is the latest European player to switch to the Chinese top-flight and it’s been reported that he will earn £23.5 million during his stay there, which translates to £400.000 per week…
Each team can have a total of five foreign players on their books, which must include one from the Asian Football Confederation, and each club is only allowed to field a maximum of four overseas players at any one time.
