Lawyer for Chris Brown: no guns, drugs found in house search
Brown was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and is now free on bail.
Curran claimed that the Kiss Kiss singer became angry and pointed a gun at her after she admired a diamond necklace worn by another man attending a party at the singer’s house. The 25-year-old model told “GMA” that she was “terrified” during the incident, adding, “I thought [Brown] was going to shoot me”.
Geragos says the story is fabricated and that police did not find the piece of jewelry the woman described.
A lawyer for Chris Brown says police did not find guns or drugs at his mansion after a woman said the singer threatened her with a handgun. “That was not found”.
ABC News reached out to Curran for comment on Geragos’ claims but has not yet received a response.
“I have represented him on no less than five other matters where, specifically, somebody had made a false accusation”, Mark Geragos said.
“This was not a ‘standoff, ‘” the lawyer said. News, Curran said that the incident happened on Tuesday while she was hanging out with Brown in his home.
While it was initially claimed Chris – who has a two-year-old daughter, Royalty, with ex-girlfriend Nia Guzman – was asleep while police were outside, he later posted a series of videos on his social media accounts in which he objected to the officers being outside and said he felt harassed.
Police have declined to discuss any details surrounding the alleged altercation and have described Brown as being “cooperative”.
Brown, who is scheduled to appear in court on September 20, has had a number of run-ins with the law.
