Leah Still Hangs Out With LeBron James After Game
LeBron James (34 points) and Kyrie Irving (32 points) dominated in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 121-115 road win Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards. He could be out longer than just one game….
As aforementioned, Smith finished up with five three-pointers on the night and 25 points, as he benefited greatly from having James and Irving drawing so much attention.
Well, it’s safe to say that Irving is out of that slump.
Clippers broadcaster Ralph Lawler famously has coined “Lawler’s Law”, which means that, in his opinion, the first team to 100 always wins.
Toronto’s Jonas Valanciunas had 22 points and 11 rebounds as the Raptors defeated Brooklyn 91-74, the Nets’ eighth straight home loss.
The Raptors (21-15) were far from being embarrassed but they could not keep pace in the fourth quarter.
Washington led going into the second and was up 35-28 when Ramon Sessions hit a 3-pointer.
The third quarter was another rough one for the Raptors, who were outscored 32-22 in the frame. They went scoreless for more than four minutes, allowing Cleveland to turn a seven-point game into a blowout.
Washington started the game strong, racing out to a 13-8 lead and keeping the game close until the end of the second quarter. LeBron had nine of his 20 in the third frame and was able to rest down the stretch. With an NBA Finals berth seeming like a foregone conclusion this season, Irving’s journey to becoming a superstar really might be the only thing fans have to be invested in during the regular season this year, and possibly for the next couple years.
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 21 points and reserve Brandon Jennings supplied 17 points and six assists in his fourth game of the season as Detroit blew out Orlando. James would tie the game at 37 with 6:54 remaining in the first half.
Cavaliers: Cleveland is 9-1 against the Atlantic Division this season.
Devon posted a photo and video on his Instagram page showing his 5-year-old daughter at the game Wednesday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers took on the Washington Wizards in the nation’s capitol.
Tristan Thompson has functioned well in any role this season – leading all reserves in rebounding when he was coming off the bench and helping the Wine and Gold to a 6-1 record in the starting lineup.
Second half comeback falls short, and the Wizards fall to the Cavaliers. They’re about creating some distance from everyone else in the East (which they’ve been doing quite well except for the Chicago Bulls, those pesky buggers) and even more importantly, getting Kyrie Irving back in business, which seems to be going quite well too. Why does this matter? And he continues to just show why he’s that. Watch out NBA, Irving looks better then ever.
What does this trend mean for the Raptors? “We’ll see what happens”.
Damian Lillard was the Trail Blazers’ top player as he dropped 20 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out nine assists.
